Like I needed an excuse to go get tacos for lunch.
Taco Grill and Salsa Bar rules!

National
Taco Day should only be allowed to occur on Taco Tuesday.

You couldn’t be more wrong - this week, you get tacos on Tuesday AND Thursday.

Coincidentally, I put some chicken in a cilantro/lime/garlic marinade last night. And I always have tortillas handy. Always.

Ooh -that’s a great combo for tacos. A bit of fire roasted poblano strips and it’s perfect! I used to make something similar all the time. I should probably dig that recipe out...

This answer is fair and correct.

The correct answer is always the one that gets you more tacos.

You’re thinking of burritos...

P ablano s would be great. I have to keep the hot stuff on the side, because my girls don’t go for it. I also always keep black beans in the pantry.

They’re not that spicy, but they can have a little kick. But they’re great as a garnish at the end for your tacos only anyways.

I had a leftover Chinese food burrito for lunch ... does that count?

Looks like I’m making chorizo tacos for dinner.

Mmmmmm! I had steak and carnitas. Both yummy - the joint I stopped at doesn’t do chorizo as well as they do the other meats, so I skipped that.
Enjoy!

Nothing wrong with Taco Thursday! Heck yeah!

Not at all!! Go get some tacos to celebrate!
I’m practically in a food coma now...

That’s a good kind of coma.

Taco Bell? Dude, that doesn’t count.

I’m going to have to pass. One of my coworkers’ Japanese grandmother came in and made curry for us. That was fucking delicious.

Ooh, that sounds yummy! My MIL (she’s Chinese) makes a crazy delicious chicken curry. Just had that a couple of weeks ago.

She promised to come back and teach us how to make sushi. Sometimes work doesn’t suck!

Don’t be too hard on the Bell.*
*Their food now ultimately pays for my cars!

I don’t hate the Bell really. I’m just lucky enough to live in a place where there are lots of really good mom and pop Mexican places. Like the one pictured above, which literally has a salsa bar with 20+ homemade salsas. Mos t of which range from hot to burn your face off.

I understand -- I’m in Texas. I hadn’t had Taco Bell since probably college until I changed gigs in December. The food actually was much better than I remember (although all of my company’s restaurants are located in the SE, so I don’t have to feel bad about continuing to hit the local restaurants when I home).

Also, fuck Jeffery Maier... (probably unfair to blame the kid, it’s really on the umps who didn’t see the interference, but regardless, I’m still bitter).
